With the arrival of high temperatures, we start thinking about summer. If you are lucky to have your own swimming-pool, it is time to tune-it-up! Getting ready for the first dips, involves a previous work of cleaning and maintenance, in which paint plays an important role.
With the arrival of high temperatures, we start thinking about summer. If you are lucky to have your own swimming-pool, it is time to tune-it-up! Getting ready for the first dips, involves a previous work of cleaning and maintenance, in which paint plays an important role.
The first thing to do is cleaning walls and bottom. With the swimming-pool empty and with the help of a brush, remove any kind of dirt. If it was already painted, scrape the distressed paint with a trowel.
Once the distressed paint has been scraped, clean it deeply with soapy water and rinse it with pressurized water. Good results are guaranteed.
With the whole surface repaired and clean, it is time to paint it. Before making the choice of the paint, it is important to know that if the swimming-pool had been painted with a water-based paint, chlorinated rubber paint can’t be used now.
If chlorinated rubber paint had been used previously, CHLORINATED RUBBER PAINT MACY offers a high resistance to water and light, and enjoys remarkable hardness, flexibility and waterproofing properties. In addition, it contains a preservative against mold and moss.
As seen, enjoying a swimming-pool in perfect conditions demands a work of maintenance to perform by preference in May or June, since high temperatures are not recommendable for this labor. At last, remember to wait at least 15 days before the filling of the swimming-pool, which is the necessary drying-time.
